Yes I ask the stupid questions, because normally it is that simple.

Whitby Regatta apparently. I avoid it like the plague. It usually falls on my brother's birthday, the only day I visit Whitby now.
One wag said the Lancaster turned up too late, the abbey was in ruins anyway.

Well it's from the BBMF flight, so weather conditions are important to preserve it

Gosh Robin That broke me out into a cold sweat just reading that! Had it been me I'd have set a PB for sure - and needed a change of underwear!
That's bloody amazing!Rp0thejester wrote: ↑14 Aug 2023, 18:31 They have done an amazing job on it, it looks so old, even the stone looks weather worn.

That would have been PA474, aka 'City of Lincoln'. There currently are only two Avro Lancaster heavy bombers in airworthy condition (although there are several others around the world being restored), with the other (FM213) being owned and operated by the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
What ever happened to the East Kirkby Lancaster that used to do taxi runs?

From left to right, a sore cowboy that's just got off his horse, BFG, and an Amish barn raiser. What a mix!
