LOL, James don't be silly, this is me your talking about :)

I cannot get larger round units in there due to the height restriction and the angle of the glass so have to stick to 90mm units.
I have a pair of dipping projectors which are smaller which may fit and I may play with those. At the moment I am unsure of the look that would give.
The silver finishing cover "I think" will give quite a nice OEM look with twin units. I will wait to see once the glass is polished, maybe in a second headlamp project once I have these finished.

I take it you will be building the DRLs into these Alasdair?

Yes Jim, not sure how at the moment, again I will wait for the glass. I may add them as single linked Cree types drilled in. Nothing fancy however and no AUDI style strips or BMW type rings....they look naff to me.

This might be of interest to you. On the Dutch Xm forum somebody has fitted projectors to Xm headligths:

Yep...thanks. Same plans really. Nice to see they also are polishing the glass.
With the Xantia (? XM) it is the Dip beam that is the big problem so the glass has to be totally flat inside to prevent scatter.
The flutes are very large giving an exceptionally poor beam pattern....not good in a "fast" car on country roads.

I have a set of RHD "dipping projectors" that have a shutter mask when dip is selected, I am a little worried about the quality of them and the solenoid.
I have thus decided to go with these Hella units as they have the "EU" standards markings...that should keep the MOT guys happy. The 90mm Hella set has a main beam projector unit and a dip beam unit as a pair.

I will be fitting plastic lamp protectors as well :)

A little more layup so I can make the Lamp unit brackets so they line up at the back to make aliment adjustments without being a contortionist.

I will use the same LED units presently fitted but position them behind the metal finishing cover with a small lens made from a short section of perspex rod for each one so they shine through that.
When the car is parked they should just look like 3 small dots if you can even see them.

Any I have ever seen with twin headlamps the inner one is always main beam, and the outside is dip, or dip/main. Or in the case of elderly van hool coaches both inner and outer were dim/dip and the best headlights I have ever driven with!

Cheers Davie....I can fit either way I think it just would be a little easier to switch them, I should keep it standard I suppose so will need to trim a little more.

Well Jim shamed me into a clean and polish ready for the X-Rally on Sunday.
I will be running over to Boston.Lincs on Saturday to see a friend so some nice "me" time listening to some music and putting some miles on the car.
It will be fun dodging the Safety Camera Vans and Police Traffic cars that cover the flat lands looking for Scoobies and Bikes all day.

I will also only have 1 hour drive on Sunday morning to get to the show which will be a bonus and a "base" to give the car a wipe down before I leave so it arrives with as little road crap on it a possible.
