The anwser to that seems to be 910,000 recorded on a blue B reg BX 19D, and seen and witnessed by myself 2 years ago. Oh, and it had only ever had one head gasket.

That 241k mile Xantia went for £900 in the end.

I don't know, the guy used to pop in to Andyspares Reading when I worked there, its now closed, so I have not seen him.

Oh, and when I was over at PTS Developments about 3 weeks ago there was an R Reg Blingo van (Courier) that was in for a secondhand engine, the original was a bit tired but still running at 512,000! It wasn't running on its own oil but one piston didn't want to seem to join in with the others! It apparently still made its way to the PTS workshop under its own steam after a towstart
