No, the RAC site says "Date manufactured" and they tend to just put in the year end, as the exact date is not within DVLA's database. That motor is a P, so must have been registered before August 1997, so I guess the March 97 is the original registration, and it went direct to the owner. I'd be going to have a look if I was still in the market, or it was a bit nearer!

It should be remembered that the D.V.L.A database is at any one time only 65% accurate, which means that other databases which use it will have their data compromised, if they are depending upon it for facts.
