Gonna have another look WHEN I have fixed the bl@@dy clutch clip myself! I am not prepared to pay the Cit garage the kind of money they want, if I can buy the clip for £7 and put my own time in[:)]!
Cheers,
John
P.S. hope I can do it [V]

John,
Most important is probably to remember to take a new bolt, 'cos after you've sawn the old one off you need something to put the pedal back on with... Also wire brush and wd-40 to clean / free up the adjuster on the clutch cable - you need a 10 and 12mm spanner for this as well I think. T20 (I think?) torx bit to remove the lower trim panel. Variety of screwdrivers and pliers / cutters.

All,
Thanks for the help! I managed this morning in about 4 hours to do the job myself [:I]
It took 3 hours to get the pedal (and bolt out) and 1 to fit it all together again.
Obviously the bolt was the problem but I managed to get it out without sawing the head off. I lowered the brake pedal by taking the plastic spring holder out, then a bit of metal bending on the left side of the clutch pedal and all of the sudden the bolt just came out [^]. I refitted the bolt the proper way and the car is fine again [:D]
Next time I have a problem I will try to resolve it myself (if it doesn't get too technical) instead of giving the money to CIT garages!
Cheers,
John
