Just a thought but, in my case similar symptom was caused by sliding carpet which was sliding forward on heavy braking and so applying the preassure to the pedale.
If I put the handbrake on in the wet pads seem to stick when I pull off a few hours later, abit like there stuck to the disc for an instant, I have had this before on cars with handbrakes on the disc.
