Of course, I used wooden boards b/w the bricks and the car to absorb the point pressure and distribute it evenly on the bricks. This way you also don't hurt the metal of the car which may rust afterwards.
But good point which needed noting :-)

Even with boards I wouldn't use bricks, not unless you put wood between the bottom brick and the ground, between each brick and each other brick and between the top brick and the car.
