Hi, i have a 2011 C4 1.6hdi mk2, i replaced the EGR with a 2nd hand one, does it need resetting to zero or recalibrating to the car?

Would a brand new one need calibrating to the car?

The EGR does not need 'coding' to the vehicle but does require initialising when replaced using diagnostic equipment like Diagbox.
