Citroen C5 2014 Tourer Exclusive. Possible to add interior boot opening?

Hello!

I own a 2014 C5 2.2 HDI and my pops got a 2015 2.0 HDI, which has an extra button I wish I had : interior tailgate opening button, situated on the right near the steering wheel.
My car has the "blank" buttons. I was wondering if there is any schematic for the 2015 model that I could mimic in order to have the same feature.
Important mention: both cars have motorised tailgate, but only one has the buttons I am talking about.

I went online and bought the required buttons, but that's about it.
I would appreciate any input!

No - a button in itself does nothing. You need the actual motorised tailgate!

Models with motorised tailgate have a completely different setup, different tailgate, electronics, harness, struts and all the other components that you won't have.

Not sure, but I think the Costin33 seems to think a few buttons will activate the 'feature'.

@Costin33: Of course, if you want to purchase a motorised version of the tailgate and all the wiring and harnesses, replace the key fobs, and get the BSI configured, then of course it's possible, but your post implied to me that you thought a few buttons would make this work.... I suppose it's a personal choice if you want to spend all that time and money on parts and labour to open the tailgate.

I agree. I've seen something where somebody had fitted a boot release button to his C5X7.
Obviously they already had the electric tailgate, they just fitted the button to be able to release it from inside.

If you already have the motorised tailgate, (which you didn’t mention), then I have misunderstood your intentions.

It would of been helpful to say in your first post that you already had a motorised tailgate if this is the case and just want the internal opening controls and would of saved a lot of time. In either case it's not an original factory fit option that I can see, so you'll have to have a search of the Forum to see if there's any one who has put in a DIY solution.

I am sorry for the confusion I have created!
I actually have a motorised tailgate, otherwise I wouldn't have asked. I thought mentioning that my car is an "Exclusive" would be enough, since as far as I remember reading from forums, the electric tailgate is an "Exclusive feature" only. I also edited my first post.

I the meantime, I ran over this post on facebook: - closing the tailgate from the interior!
This will be the next step, after the buttons

You'll need to provide your VIN and I can only provide you with the current locking system for your vehicle of course. Please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff.

Ok, you have simple central locking on this vehicle, so this is the correct diagram for your locking system as it left the factory.

With the exception of the wiring codes, most of the component codes are indexed here:

So the module number is 6222
The wire number for opening & closing command is 6216K
And the connector pin for this is number 35.

Am I reading this right?

Please excuse my lack on knowledge. What I am trying to do is understand how to wire up the button so it would work, but that seems quite the task.
I have also searched the C5 forum for the similar post mentioned above but with no luck

6222 is only the lock, it doesn't look like the boot motor is on that diagram.
