Ive used the blue bottle with the orange label on a corsa 1.2 petrol , it worked i ran it for a few months then sold it on . The new owner wanted it for parts so i guess it worked well for both sides of the sale.

My mechanic should be in toucn monday so im taking it from there i guess.

Sorry to hear this Husky... If the rest of the car is good then I'd have no hesitation in doing the head job...

All the best with this..

Mechanic called today hes looked at the car the price is a bit more than i thought but also includes checking the gear box as we both think the trust bearing was a cheap one when the clutch was replaced by the former owner . Hes also checking the timing belt too when the job is undertaken.
Updates to follow.

Truely getting sick to death of conning garages.
Checing the cars history some paper work has revealed the clutch was replaced October 2022 , so ive emailed the garage and have asked why did the clutch slave cylinder fail and why is the release bearing whislting like an old gas kettle considering they took not shy of a £1000 for the clutch replacement this should never of happen in this short space of time its a joke , i cant wait there responce.

How about this for a reply from this garage. This has just dropped in my email box ... copied and pasted here.

Good afternoon.

Unfortunately the contract of purchase for this part is between ourselves and our customer. If you have any issues with this vehicle please contact the person/company you
purchased the vehicle from.

Have a great Easter break.

King Regards, AE team.

Well how about this for the classic game of pass the buck.
