Re: Boxer 2.2 - Denso Injectors Coding

Sorry for the confusion, on the one hand my English is weak, and on the other hand I tried to summarize the story a lot so that you wouldn't get lost in a very long text.

I will try to summarize some of your doubts below, and the history of the van:

1 - The ECU is the original one. I bought the van without an engine, and when I bought and then fitted a replacement engine, the van wouldn't start.
The immobilizer light wouldn't go out, so my mechanic took the ECU and BSI to a "specialist" who hypothetically fixed the problem.

The "expert" rescued the immobilizer pin that was engraved on the ECU and BSI.
I don't know if was changed something else in the ECU code or not, it doesn't make sense to have changed it but in fact for some reason the ECU doesn't trigger error codes, which is strange.

1.1 - This was all almost 2 years ago, and in the meantime the van had several problems that caused it to sit idle for most of the time.

The main problems were with the injectors (a problem that persists and led to the opening of this post), and a problem with the CAN bus that prevented the van from starting, resulting from a bad contact at the BSI (problem now resolved, and described in another post I published on this forum).

Interestingly, I now conclude that when the ECU and BSI were sent to the "specialist" who opened them and got the pin code, after all the problem from the beginning was only the BSI's CAN bus which did not allow the immobilizer code to be exchanged between ECU and BSI. Probably the "expert" never even imagined this possibility, and went straight to removing and reading the eprom memory (when I now looked at the BSI, I noticed that the 9516WP soic had already been resoldered...)

1.2 - The immobilizer still active, was not disabled.

2 - I no longer have access to the original engine and original injectors. The actual/replacement engine is hand marked on top as "4HV denso" (picture attached).

Regards,
Daniel
