Chasing my tail with diagnostics

Post by rdsmokie »

Hi all My name is Kenny and I am new to diagnostics. I have a continuing saga with my 1.6HDI 110 Xsara Picasso and its like this. We had a engine fault light come on and it was EGR valve(replaced) then we had a lack of power and the car surging. We had it checked out and it said there were several sensor issues, MAF, crank, fuel regulator, rail pressure, all were replaced with new. Still the car had no power and surging, so into the garage it went. He diagnosed a blocked DPF. Ok we had a HHO full clean, wow that was messy lol. No change to car just cleaner. So we had the injectors checked by a diesel specialist all perfect. 2 glow plugs down so changed them too. Installed the injectors and got P0201-P0204 inj open circuit and now a P1351. Reset ECU and injectors now cleared but car has no power but no longer surges. Now have P0238 P0490 P1162 and P0238. Im getting to the end of my tether with this so Im asking if anyone can help me please. Does anyone near Evesham have a Lexia and willing to reset the ECU/DPF issue.
Thanks in advance
Kenny

Errors in an injection control unit can actually be cleared with any diagnostic tool.

The problem, however, is that permanent errors are never deleted - not even with the original diagnostic tool, of course.

The problem that leads to these errors must first be eliminated - only then will error deletion be successful.
