diagbox won't write VIN to RCC

Post by ilovecars »

I have a Peugeot 207 hdi (2011)
I bought a Bosch RCC unit from a Peugeot 2008 (2018)

it's all connected up and working with the CAN bus via an adapter and detects doors/searbelts/error codes but is stuck in French and beeps constantly.

using diagbox 9.91 I can connect to the RCC unit in read only mode and see the old VIN number and all of the options enabled on the unit (i.e french language, gps enabled etc) but when I try a write operation it says "procedure terminated" and goes back to the VIN/OPTIONS menu whilst also rebooting the RCC head unit.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to write the new VIN to the RCC unit?

(diagbox lets me write to all the other ECUs in Peugeot 207 mode and some ECUs in 2008 mode)

cheers!

RCC and NAC units are locked to my knowledge. They cannot be configured in offline mode and need to be connected to PSA servers to configure.

Yep. With Diagbox RCC/NAC can only be telecoded through connection to PSA servers.
But with Arduino tool you can do it Offline. All the sections are unlocked and no connection to PSA servers is needed.

That's not something we will discuss here given the nature of the topic.
