Hello,
We have just purchased a Peugeot RCZ (1.6 GT) that is fitted with the RD4 head unit. We have been given different information from several sources as to whether it supports Bluetooth for audio streaming and hands free phone calls.
As far as I can see, the RD4 doesn't support them and that we need an external unit that plugs into the back of the head unit and uses the CD changer input.
Anyone have a definitive answer?
-Andy.

Re: Bluetooth for RCZ with RD4
1) The RD4 natively does not support Bluetooth.
2) Early vehicles with RD4 could be specified with an additional option of the Hands Free Kit, that interfaces to the RD4, which handles the Bluetooth calls / streaming and passes this data onto the RD4.
3) Later Vehicles were fitted with the RD45. which did away with the hands free module, as the RD45 units had Bluetooth integrated into the Head Unit and had an updated Multi-Function Display.
4) One possible solution which probably answers the last part of your question is that aftermarket units can be bought that can provide music file support by using the CD changer port on the back of the Head Unit. It allows MP3 files for example to be put on a USB and played as if it was a CD. Some units also provide Bluetooth connectivity for phone calls as well as music media file playback. There are various options and it depends on what you want.
