RELAY/JUMPER VAN reset denox system?

Post by stergioszx »

Hi friends,
I have a 2016 citroen relay-jumper van 2.0 bluehdi engine with an adblue system error (code is p20ee 92)
I bought a lexia/diagbox diagnostic tool and I would like to know if there is a way to "reset" the denox system.
I mean to tottaly reset it, like telling the BSI that it is brand new.
Until now I just did diagnostic browsing with it and I want to dig a little bit deeper than that.
Thank you in advance

Yes there is a re initialise denox system, its under pack repair menu in the injection system however this is unlikely to solve the problem, not for more than a few days anyway.
Your diagbox version will need to be one of the later 9.xx versions.

I guess I have an adblue tank problem, some diagnostics I ran showed that I have 6 litres of adblue but I just topped up.
Thank you for your answer, I guess I will need your help again in the near future.
I have 9.68 version diagbox

Read your handbook regarding topping up the Adblue - especially if you have either run out or are topping up from empty as there can be a procedure to follow for the system to reset itself, which can involve NOT turning the ignition on for 5-10 minutes after filling up from empty. It should tell you in the owner's handbook.

I've read that before, but I don't have such an "extensive" handbook for my car...It doesn't say anything about waiting 5-10 minutes or something like that.
I've had a question about wether my van does automatic regenerations of the dpf or not, because I thought that it should be a sign on the dashboard when that happens.
I saw in the diagbox diagnostics that it does automatic regenerations although...it doesn't tell me.

Is there a way to obtain an extensive handbook for my car from somewhere???

Thank you in advance, I will need you again soon!

On the totally separate matter of DPF Regeneration - it is totally automatic. There is no indication this is happening as the whole process goes on in the background.

Natural regeneration occurs when the exhaust gasses reach 550 °C so likely on a long run at higher speeds.
Assisted regeneration occurs when necessary when the filter starts to become blocked. Assisted regeneration takes place at the lower exhaust gas temperature of temperature of 450 °C, so more likely to occur on occasions where the vehicle is on shorter trips or start stop journeys.

Back to the Adblue, I've had a quick look and in your case it's wait 10 seconds with ignition on before starting:

To be able to restart the vehicle, you must add at least 3.8 litres of AdBlue®.
- Pour the additive into the tank (by the filler with the blue cap).
- Switch on the ignition without starting.
- Wait 10 seconds before starting the engine.
