Post by Vroomngroom »

Desperately seeking a part for my Citroen relay, I need a water hose 1307 SK. Apparently Citroen no longer make it and without my van is a right off and I am out of business so any help will be massively appreciated!!

As you say, PSA no longer make this part, so you'll need to try and source an alternative or second hand part.

On a Wheeler Dealers (might have been car sos) the other day they found someone who made up pipes from scratch - just used original as pattern.

Steve's post is probably what you need but if you are stuck you can make up a stopgap hose from an offcut of the same diameter - just make it slightly longer than the length needed so it can get slightly squished (flexible) when you fit it. Not ideal, but it will get you out of a hole if you can't source the right part.

You want to remove your Reg Number in your car listing just for security reasons.
If you put in your vin number in any post it is automatically masked and can only be read by administrators. Far safer.

By the looks of it, it is different dias on both ends, and has an expansion bit in the centre. Should be possible to rig something temporary with a spacer on the thinner end, but it might not last long depending on how much stretch is required.

2006 is on the change over so it could be either II or III - but that is the part no the OP asked for...

Bike inner tubes can be cut into suitable collars for the smaller diameter stub. Not ideal as I said. If you use more than one tube collar to make up the diameter be careful they don't slide apart in the hose when you fit them.
Folding the inner tube back over itself once can work if the fold is towards the pipe being fitted. Multiple folds very rarely work in my experience.

If you want a supply of different sized inner tubes, go to tyre fitting and bike shops and ask them for any damaged ones they would normally throw away. Most shops will oblige. Car and lorry tubes make good bungee hoops. Motor cycle and bike tubes make good collars for air and breather filters if they are slightly slack. The uses are many fold.

Hi, apologies for not coming back on here. I thought I had found the part from a Breaker's yard, but it took them a week and half to send a part they ordered from eBay that was completely wrong 🤦. That's the part number the garage gave me. I am back to square one trying to find it again - now two weeks without earning any money 😢.
