getting logged out immediately after logging in

Having trouble logging in. gets logged in then on the next action immediately logs out

just drops out, constantly having to relog in and just gives one shot at a post of view and then logged out again

On going wont let me login to view members area, and stays logged in only for one action in other areas.

Is that on a phone Neil?

Not having any problems on my laptop. Logged in this morning and it has stayed logged in even while I have been out, other than when I rebooted Firefox.

I suggest you try logging in on a different device PC or mobile and see if the behaviour repeats - if not I think you have your answer and need to clear the cache of the browser on either device.

Looks like it’s ok on this set up away from home on borrowed I pad and borrowed wi fi

That is ok Neil,. You are not the first to hit this problem. I believe that the forum software should detect and automatically reset the browser cookie when this happens, but an obscure bug deep in the software causes it to get stuck in a loop of logging out. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to reproduce this problem on demand.

Thanks Mike. Tried a different browser "Brave" as mentioned by Marc and normal function restored. The Edge Browser still plays up as before in spite of a clear out, so I've ditched it for now.

Faffed about with a few settings on Edge and its back to normal, but its getting dumped for now.
