Just be aware that it's not so much your battery, but the alternator... These are designed with certain tolerances, so fitting a much larger battery than designed will cause it to pull more amps when the vehicle is running and that will wear your alternator out more quickly.

It may be better to get an updated alternator rather than battery, as all your kit is powered off the alternator anyway not the battery when running.

Anyway, pop your VIN up for me and I'll take a look to see what it was supplied with / other variants.

You had a 'd' instead of a '3' in the VIN - sorted now.

So originally the van was equipped with a Level 1 480A 50AH battery for your options and equipment.

The highest level battery listed is a Level 3 which is 720A 70AH. So this was probably for additional equipment and colder climates. The alternators are all 150 Amp, so hope that helps.

Sorry about that mate. Do you know the code for the bigger battery? It had a tiny 40ah battery fitted.

Dimensions of an 096: 270 x 170 x 200h
+ terminal in lower RH corner as you look at the top, label reading normally.

Can very much recommend Yuasa (eg Yuasa YBX3096) as a tremendous workhorse for a diesel.

If you want more power go for the Yuasa 5000 series. A YBX5096 is the same casing size but more power. I too highly recommend Yuasa as a first choice of battery.
I would not recommend though fitting an EFB (7000 series) or AGM (9000 series) unless the car actually requires this for a stop/start system if fitted.
