Hi All,
Apologies in advance for my ignorance. I have a can of Petrol EGR Extreme Cleaner (https://www.wynns.uk.com/product/petrol ... e-cleaner/)
I need to spray it into the air intake, but I have no idea where this is on my car. I've attached pic of what it looks like. All the videos i've found online appear to be for diesel engine, but mine is a 1.6 petrol.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Where to spray EGR valve cleaner?
You'll need to take off the air hose connection after the air filter box and before the air intake manifold and spray it in there.

Re: Where to spray EGR valve cleaner?
Thank you very much for your quick reply.
Just taken a quick look, would that be this pipe where I need to spray it in? If so, I assume it is just a case of undoing those torx screws and pulling the plastic piece off the hose?

No...
Pop your VIN up so I can see exactly which engine you have and then I can show you.

Much appreciated, and also very sorry, I know that this must be really basic for someone that knows what they are doing!

There is no need to apologise. This forum exists primarily to help people who need help with their French Cars. Saying that, there are also areas where members can have fun, and (within reason) take the mickey out of each other.

Re: Where to spray EGR valve cleaner?
Pipe (3) is the air intake pipe after the air filter housing - so spray it in there.
I've removed the image as it shows your VIN - we mask them for security, so I can read it fine.

Re: Where to spray EGR valve cleaner?
Thank you. I see, that seems fairly straightforward. Does that mean that the spray would then go through the air filter before reaching the engine?

Re: Where to spray EGR valve cleaner?
No, because the air filter is item (4). The pipe (3) is the air after it has been through the filter.

That looks like the air filter housing.

Re: Where to spray EGR valve cleaner?
I thought that 5 was the air filter, A was the filter housing, that's why I thought 3 came before the air filter. I had no idea that 4 was the air filter.

Re: Where to spray EGR valve cleaner?
Yes, sorry - my mind was on a few other posts - your system is the EP6 engine, so the Air filter complete is referred to as part (1) which includes all the parts listed underneath.
So I stand corrected - on your model to bypass the air filter, you would need to inject it at (2) which is the pipe the leaves the air filter on the left. Sorry for the confusion.

Perfect, and that looks like it matches up with the image I posted above with the red circle. I'll give it all a wiggle tomorrow morning and see if I get to it.
Thanks guys for your input. I'll post up how I get on tomorrow.

Re: Where to spray EGR valve cleaner?
I may be talking cobblers but I wouldn't clean an EGR with a spray in situ, you'd just be sending the crap elsewhere, where it wouldn't be wanted.
Why do you want to clean it? It may be an electrical or vacuum issue (I don't know which is fitted to your car). I'd take it off and clean it. Or, if you've got access to a Diagbox, do an actuator test to confirm it is the source of your problem.
