My zx estate

Post by Huskyxantia »

So I've put my zx estate back on the road for a bit and I've been enjoying it . I've been doing support stuff and this car has been brilliant.

I've a few things to ask

Paint . What's best for diy spraying.
Water marks on paint. Why has my new sprayed stuff marked so bad.

And where can I source a new interior , seats, door cards and stuff like it ?
On a plus side .................
Its having two new tyres fitted tomorrow , mobile fitter to the home.
Plus tinkering time to come the washers and pipes need renewing there brittle and the time has cone to change them.

I wonder if it might be worth contacting Paul (citroenxm) a PM over interior stuff?

Do contact Paul, but nothing too urgent - he has some extended hospital treatment coming up just after Xmas.
Have already wished him well.

Cracking looking Car Husky :)

Cannot help with the interior, unless Xantia rubber door seals are similar, have lots of them :rofl2:

Paint work is in the eye of the beholder and what you actually want it to be.
I have done a few small panel resprays but it will never be concours or look like original. Paint tech has moved on so much since the days when i dabbled, if it was me i would take it to a local respected paint shop, get them to look over it and then tell them what you want it to look like.
Any decent local indie paint shop will work with you and be able to explain what they can do

Forgot to say some will try and talk high spec tech, this paint does xyz, this process will do abc etc, the 1 or 2 that actually listen to what you want to have done will be more inclined to talk to you as a human not a cash cow :rofl2:
As for the door/boot rubbers if they are the same or very close you can have them FOC
