AX Instrument Bulb ID Please?

Post by CitroJim »

Can anyone please identify what kind of bulbs these are?
AX Instrument Bulbs
AX Instrument Bulbs
They are AX instrument cluster illumination bulbs...

They look suspiciously like Xantia heater illumination bulbs...

Thanks :)

Here's Ring's full list of panel lamps with pictures, but none look an exact match (click on the 'Panel' tab) :?

Does the bulb not just pull out of the holder. There are panel bulbs that look similar on the rings list

They look like standard 1.2 V dash bulbs. The bulbs can be bought cheaply in a pack and just slide into the holders in the photo Jim.

They are referred to as 286 bulbs.

No, in this instance the wire ends of the bulb are welded to the contacts and don't slide out like the usual Citroen dash bulbs...

Also, they're a little smaller than the standard 286...

No worries, I've found them :D

Type R509TBMK

Same as Xantia heather panel bulbs as I suspected :)

Oh well win some lose some.
Remember one of my old cars had this type of dash light that you could replace just the bulb. Well done Jim you got it sorted.

There's a few of those bulbs (used) in my 'might be useful' box. :)

Keep hold of them then Gibbo ;) I used to have a few but they seemed to do a runner during one of my garage tidyups...

As so often happens
