Not long after getting the car, drivers door lock unit died, constantly pinging fr RH door open on the display, interior light on etc. A big of searching for specs to check and a replacement unit taken from a C2 enterprise up the local yard, fitted fine, display back to normal, will lock on the central locking fine by remote but won't unlock - not so much an issue as i dont lock it anyways, can be opened from inside though, Does not show up as door open when it is, thus does not put interior light on when open,
Is this a case of needing a unit from the exact same model (C2 Code - posh vts!) or does the replacement unit need to be activated/coded to the car as such? I have lexia set up here if so,
Any help or pointers gratefully appreciated,
Timmo.

Re: C2 drivers door lock unit oddities
There are 2 types of unit - one with simple central locking and one for deadlocking - the type of which are configured in the BSI. You have Central Deadlocking, so I expect you need to match the correct door control or it will throw a wobbly.
