Workshop time

Post by white exec »

TV-Studio-Gallery.jpg
Have always rather liked the look of broadcast studio clocks, nicely edge-lit for the subdued surroundings.

So, one of my best Christmas pressies was one of these, from Amazon*...
Clock 2p.jpg
Easily opened up, and a run of warm white 12v led strip placed around the periphery, under the front bezel.
Run off 9v d.c., it lights up when the workshop lights do...

I like that Chris... I have a particular love of clocks and have a small collection here...

Can't live without the sound of a ticking pendulum clock :) Oddly, i don't consciously hear them but I do 'hear' as soon as one of them stops! I know instantly...

I am not sure you would like the clock of the Patrician of Ankh-Morpork, Jim. It kept accurate time, but had an un-even tick tock. Sometimes there would be a regular "tick tock", then you might get a "tick", followed by a pause, and then the "tock". Worst of all it might miss a bit out, so you get "tick", pause, "tick", "tick". It did a good job of unsettling people.

It was DESIGNED to do that! It was built to unsettle people; it succeeded!

Somebody has built a clock that does the same, and (for the clock face) they have used the design from a RED church clock;
