I dont know if this has worked. If it has, could someone look at this and let me know if it would be suitable for the xantia and pug 407? Ive picked this one because it has the laptop too, which is a thing I do not possess.
Thanks guys.

That would be OK for your 407, but it does not have the 16 to 30 pin adapter for the Xantia (not that there is much to diagnose on your Xantia other than ABS). The adapters are sometimes available separately.

Its mainly for the 407 I am wanting it for. The big advantage for me is that it includes the laptop and its already installed and presumably working. Its all used so its a pay your money and take your chance though.

I wonder, although more money if this may be a better buy, being a new lexia and a refurbished laptop with 12 months warranty.

I note in the pictures of the second one (that I think you say you have bought) that there is in the top left hand corner the S1279 Module included. This is required for the FIAT collaborated / built vehicles like the Boxer III, Nemo, Bipper Jumper III minibus etc. So could be a useful cable to have as these are not always included and are usually sold separately as an add-on module at anything up to £40.

So as it was advertised in the sales pictures - make sure you get it Davie!

I will make sure to check that Marc, as it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that I could have a nemo on the future. Or a boxer camper!

This has just arrived today, very slow delivery, and the S1279 module is not included. I have emailed the seller, as far as I am concerned it was in the pic of the listing so should be included.

Yes, you have to watch the bu**ers - I've just emailed the bay of evil over a seller selling goods advertised in a picture, when in fact the price shown is for the plastic bottle only! It is completely misleading and I suspect against the Advertising Standards code of practice. More over it is an annoying waste of time. As you can see picture one returned from Google search and picture 2 is what you get once you get to the site - only then do you see an option drop down box that lists all the bits shown in the picture.

Only when you choose the whole thing does the price change.

In this case, if they are showing the complete unit in the picture, they should show the complete unit price! Totally misleading.

The seller said he hasnt supplied that module for 6 months and told me to return the goods and he will refund me. I politely declined that refund, saying refund me first, along with the return postage plus an allowance for my time repackaging it and arranging return, which he declined to do. He asked what else he could do and my reply was send me the module, then it is as described and problem solved. No reply to that yet.

That will learn him to use the correct pictures in future.
I suspect that it may be cheaper for him to send you the module rather than pay the outgoing, return postage a full refund and have no sale and a lousy review.

Just got an email stating he shall get a module for me and send it out ASAP. This is the kind of things that really get on my goet, I know he is in the wrong and so does he. If said module does not turn up then I will take this further. Im like a dog with a bone when I have been wronged. I dont give up. I dont know how much these modules cost, its not a lot but its the principal of the thing thst gets me.

If you hadnt spotted it I would never have noticed it. I dont need it right now, but it is entirely possible that i will need it in the future. I will give it a week or so to see if it appears, but Im not holding my breath.

I'm on a bit of a crusade at the moment, having just returned a load of new keyboards and other goods as they are not as described.

I'm totally honest when it comes to purchasing and a recent keyboard was just not to my liking. I returned it in the knowledge that I had to pay the return costs - not a problem, but what I did object to was in the refund, they deducted £9 postage costs to send it to me in the first place which is illegal. If exercising your rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you can change your mind within 14 days and send it back for a refund - however you need to read the seller's T&Cs regarding return postage - but they are NOT allowed to deduct outward bound postage.

Apparently companies are getting away with it and owe the British public £140M in withheld postage costs. A lot (including many big high street retailers) don't automatically refund the outgoing postage - you have to ask for it! Once I threatened them with legal action I had the refund within 12 hours.

Crooks.
