Re: Supplier of Citroen parts
Sorry to hear about that Jack.
Like anything it really depends on what parts you are after as to availability. There are companies that make pattern parts like body panels etc., that can be much cheaper, breakers and of course the bay of evil - it all depends what you are after and may find it better to shop about for the specific bits.

Main dealer parts at list prices may be your only option. Then breakers. A car like yours written off at rear end. They aint' always responsible prices either.

Re: Supplier of Citroen parts
I had the auto box for my project motor from an Ebay seller, the heading on his invoice is:
French Car Parts,
AijaVaka
Bexhill on Sea
East Sussex
TN394BD
phone+44 7578598974
email aijuks30@inbox.lv
The car it came out of was a 2008 C5 but maybe he has others
Service was quick and although not cheap it was the best on offer at the time.

Re: Supplier of Citroen parts
Hello All
Yes Marc, they want to write it off, when the damaged is minimum, a crack bumper and a head light and a bit of body work on the bonnet.
I am getting closer to finding parts number etc.
I need to cross check a Valeo part number with a Citroen part number for the headlight.
Valeo 044474
Citroen 6206W1
Has someone access to the Valeo part catalogue?
Or a contact I could call?

Hi Marc
Got the car back from the assurance body shop.
To be fair they repaired the wing FOC which was nice of them
I'm not sure which headlight I have I thought I had HID.
Would the left hand be the 044473?
Do you a retailer your trust?

Re: Supplier of Citroen parts
Yes Jack you have the HID, just not the directional headlamps which are extortionately expensive.
I’ll check in a second the left one for you.
Confirmed 6208 W1 and 044473 for the left one Jack.

Re: Supplier of Citroen parts
I just checked Citroen Service and they are not showing the correct headlight picture for your car (another error) - they are showing the halogen model but the part numbers are correct - hence my initial confusion. Below is the headlamp shown for your VIN - no projector lens - picture seems to be for halogen model as the inner lamp to the left is completely different to the bottom picture as per the user manual for the Xenons.

Hi Mark
Do you know the difference between a 6208-W0 and a 6208-W1
I cannot find the 044474-73 in stock but the 044471-72 is available
Cheers

Re: Supplier of Citroen parts
Hi Jack
The 6208 W0 is the right side Headlamp, for Left Hand Drive Cars
The 6208 W1 is the left hand Headlamp for Right Hand Drive Cars.
I've found this link for the 044474
https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/valeo/7860929 Price £217 all in from Germany, but you have to click the availability next to the price and supply an email and they get back.
I see you've also posted on Planete Citroen - it seems we've both located the same potential supplier!

Re: Supplier of Citroen parts
Hi Mark
Nothing is as easy as it seems.
The right hand side label 6206W1
The Left hand side lablel 6208W1
I've added two pictures of the label
I have contacted that website and they are saying it is not the correct one...
I hope getting the other bits will be a lot easier
