PSA Adoption

Post by GiveMeABreak »

I was just checking on PSA Group's site for some info and I see they have now finally incorporated GM's European operations into the branding - God help us all:

Those GM mottos will simply have to be the first things to go... "Isn't life Brilliant" - "The Future is Everyone's"

I think whoever thought those up are now out of a job.

Agreed. I wonder where the new brands will fit into the hierarchy? Especially after they convert the well know GM models to use PSA platforms to avoid licensing costs.

Perhaps they should combine the two.... "The Future Isn't Brilliant". That's got a certain ring of truth to it
Sadly no longer a C5 owner :(

On the bright side, it means that Citroen is unlikely to be the lowest prestige brand in the stable.

More dilution of the marques no doubt - Linda Jackson, head of Citroen - we are watching you. If only time travel was currently possible - I would have an extensive shopping list of classic Citroen cars to bring back and park on her lawn grounds.

I'm not so sure, the new insignia looks wonderful and classy. Much better than the old one. However the lower down Vauxhall are still a bit chavvy.

I must get a Vauxhall as I want life to be brilliant...

Maybe rather than getting a Saxo perhaps I should have looked out for a Corsa instead

I do like the motion and emotion that comes with my Pug ownership though :)

I know we miscall vauxhalls, but Kerri's astra was a good car, giving little trouble untill the head gasket went at 135k. Dull as dishwater admittedly, and it was an sri which is allegedly a sporty one. It is fixed and back on the road now though.

Ditto with a Chavalier we had in the 90s. An excellent, competent family car but yawningly dull... It never went wrong and did the job of lugging the family and a caravan around quite gallantly.

And thats what a lot of folk want. A car that just works, and no interest in how it works or drives.

Yes, spot-on. Only a few of us appreciate character (in all it's various forms!!!) in a car...
