Hi,
So I finally got the software installed for the Lexia /Pp2000 tool. Now I have everything hooked up, the software is asking for my car's RPO number. Where can I find this?
I have a 2005 C5 II 3.0 V6 with the Vin shown in the attached photo. Thank you all.

Re: Lexia RPO number?
On the driver pillar somewhere will be a label with several numbers. It is likely you will have one number that will be 5 digits long, followed by a couple of letters. The numerals are the RPO number. For example, it might be something like 10412CJ.

Re: Lexia RPO number?
Thank you. I have input the number when the Lexia software asks for it. Then it goes back to the menu where the top button says Lexia and the bottom says Scan Tool, doing nothing afterwards. Is there something I am doing wrong? Thanks.

Re: Lexia RPO number?
Give it time. The Lexia software can take a few minutes to get running.

Re: Lexia RPO number?
i waited a long time and still nothing happened. So I contacted the seller, and she asked me to downgrade to v7.02 and still did not work My computer has only 2G RAM, does this matter? As the instruction recommends 4G of RAM. Thanks.

My Toshiba netbook is running DiagBox 7.15 on 2GB RAM without any issues.

Re: Lexia RPO number?
Try now clicking on Lexia, to see if that gets to software running.

Re: Lexia RPO number?
Yes, you need to select LEXIA from the 2 options first.

Re: Lexia RPO number?
Surely you want to use Diagbox not Lexia on a car of this age? If it doesn't pick up the VIN on first scan, then try starting the engine; it doesn't work too well if it's in Eco mode...!

Re: Lexia RPO number?
I've assumed he was having issues with Diagbox, and I know Lexia will work easily with a Mark I C5. If neither work then suspect the Diagbox installation, and or the hardware / software specs / VCI.

Re: Lexia RPO number?
Hi,
After the unit detecting the VIN by itself and having me input the RPO number, I tried to have the Lexia software or the Scan Tool software to load, but it does not, software just stay at the "Lexia" and "Scan Tool" selection screen. I did wait for a long time for both "Lexia" and "Scan Tool", but nothing happens. I did unplug and replug the USB a few times, but no luck. I tried version 7.02, 7.44, and 7.57, and all of them does the same thing. My computer is a IBM Thinkpad X230i with 2G Ram running Win 7 64bit. I am so frustrated at this point because loading the different software version took a long time. The distributor who sold the system to me used Teamview today and could not get the unit to work. So any ideas to solve this issue will be a great help. Much appreciate everyone's help so far. Thanks!

OK, that is likely to be your problem - it won't work on a 64 bit Operating System natively. You need to be running it on a 32 Bit Operating System. You can run it on a 64 Bit hardware system. but need a 32 Bit Operating System. Aside from this, 2Gb RAM is barely enough. If you get your operating system sorted first, you might want to consider upgrading to 4Gb. Although the system will only utilise just over 3Gb, it will still make a big difference.

Re: Lexia RPO number?
Marc,
I trust you guys a lot more. The distributor who sold me the unit is firm that my system should be a Win 7 64. He made an effort to check when he was using Teamview. I will get a Win 7 32 machine tomorrow and try some type of virtual machine tonight. Thank you.

Re: Lexia RPO number?
They have incorrectly informed you then. Diagbox (which is the container software that will launch either Diagbox or the Lexia software) should work with 64 bit systems, but Lexia will not as it is a 16 bit application and these will not run on a 64 bit operating system. Your C5 MK I will run fine on Lexia. I didn't suggest a VM as you have a laptop that won't have enough system resources or memory / hardware to properly run a VM with a 32 Bit guest OS, so I assume you care going to try installing on a 32 VM to test it out?

Re: Lexia RPO number?
Marc, Thank you for your help. I have finally gotten the software to work on a computer with Win 7 32.
