Mike, I'm both delighted and most thankful you're on the case... I'd have lost the will to live long before now. You must be made of stern stuff  :-D
The setting (which is a standard phpbb one) is called "secure cookie", and as far as I can tell, it actually has no effect in phpbb itself, but the tapatalk plugin tests this parameter to decide whether to use http or https for emojis.

Looks fine to me guys. Yet again I hadn't even noticed until I saw this thread had been updated. No speed issues at all.

Thanks for the report. The configuration had some shakedown testing on our other site before being applied here, so I have some confidence in it.

Not sure if this is in any way related, but sometime in the afternoon yesterday my phone lost all interest in staying logged in on here once I closed the tab. I've done the usual steps of clearing cookies and cache etc without any effect.

Everywhere else seems to be fine, just this forum.

Android device running the Dolphin browser. Seems to be fine on both desktop machines...just my phone it's acting up on.

Yes. My Android Tablet did the same thing to me...

Phone (Windows) and Ubuntu (Linux) desktops did not...

I'm running FirePox on mine...

Everything was extremely slow this morning but this forum more so than the rest. Cleared up after a while though.
My android phone and tablet are both awful thins to deal with.
Neither will let me into my BT account (BT is my ISP) or Google accounts.

Upgraded to Yakkety Yak (Ubuntu 16.10) and it seems quicker that 16.04

The slowness experienced was with Firefox/Mint Sarah on my laptop, not this machine.

While doing various site reconfigurations over the weekend, the web server was restarted several times. This seems to upset some browsers more than others. I will be doing some more internal reconfigurations over the next few days, as I need to move some site functions to a different server.
