Sent you a PM Paul-R, thanks very much for the offer!Paul-R wrote: I have a C5 HPi in my driveway as spares for my C5 HDi so the engine is useless to me. I bought the car some years ago as non-runner. The owner had run out of petrol and when refilled wouldn't start; in fact never started again so they gave up and sold it for spares. The high pressure pumps seem to be particularly fragile on these beasts so there's every chance it's no good but you're welcome to come along and take it off. If you want me to take it off I'd have to charge you for my time but otherwise it's yours for the taking.

PM not yet arrived. Possibly you need a certain number of posts in order to be able to PM?

Strange, it's not showing in my sent box either - was just to say I'm now living in Spain, but my folks are still living in North Wales - happy to pay first for the part, your time and postage though, and after your hols would be no problem - trying the pm again.Paul-R wrote:PM not yet arrived. That restriction was removed from the forums a few months ago, so there should be nothing stopping it.Paul-R wrote:PM not yet arrived. Possibly you need a certain number of posts in order to be able to PM?

No, it's the pump off the opel 2.2 direct injection engine, but it works with the HPI engine too.

I could not get a pump so I rebuilt the old one. The main issue with this pump is the oil seal on the pump drive it leaks back into the engine the the pump seizes up stripping the main drive bolt in the pump.
They are very basic in design and can be pulled apart by taking the 3 bolts out and parting the pump body. Inside on back of the drive is a pump that runs off set this is the part that seizes up behind that in the lower pump body is stage two of the pump the is a diafram that operates stage 3 of the pump stage 3 is the final out put part of the pump this can not be opened without a press.
I do have 2 old pumps in bits I'll try and take some photos later if it helps out

I've got the pump off the car. The label on it says 0018 Siemens, then there's a bar code underneath, then under that is Type: 1 and then 07L5 1. If the bar code's important I could try to read it using the bar code reader at work next week.GiveMeABreak wrote:There are a few different HPI Pumps Paul - is this the 1920AR?
