Unscheduled Forum Outage 08/12/15

Post by CitroJim »

The outage for most of last night and most of today was caused by an Internet failure.

It was beyond my control..

All is back up now and the Internet connection is looking stable..

Apologies for any inconvenience this outage may have caused.

Poo happens...

It was all down to a problem with Talktalk.

I am investigating potential mitigations...

Yes, I note that Talktalk still have problems as the Internet from this end is very slow indeed. It's almost unusable...

It's going at the speed of a very poor dial-up at the moment...

Always annoying when something goes awry that's totally beyond your control.

My site is also down at the moment...suspect given what it's doing that the router has thrown a hissy fit and dropped the network connection (it does that sometimes), sadly as I'm at the other end of the country can't really get at it to check right now!

Forums seem to be loading fine for me now Jim.

Jim's internet connection has been flaky again this morning. We are working on moving the forum to a site with a reliable connection, but that will of course take a little time.

In the meantime, accept our appologies for any interruptions to normal service.
