Re: Xantia rear suspension
Wow this is heavy. How to check for internal return leaks. Also what is the electrovalve and what to check with the pump and the regulator.

Re: Xantia rear suspension
If you have a 6 sphere Xantia this means it is non-hydractive, which means it does not (to the best of my knowledge) have any electrovalves in the suspension system. The 8 and 10 sphere Xantias have electrovalves.
Just a thought. Is there enough LHM in the system? To check what you do is to park the Xantia on level ground, raise the suspension to its' highest position, and then take a look at the glass dome on the LHM reservoir. The orange disk (not the brass one) should be between the two red rings.

Re: Xantia rear suspension
Thanks James. Yes it has only six spheres and LHM level is fine. Do you have an idea to check for internal return leaks. If you go through my posts should understand my problem.

Re: Xantia rear suspension
I cannot help with it, as I have not experienced that problem before, so I have not had to investigate or learn the cause.

Re: Xantia rear suspension
Hi everyone. This video was done starting the engine after one hour. Is the stop light taking too long to go off. https://vimeo.com/115704297

Re: Xantia rear suspension
Well from that video, the stop light CAN come on for issues OTHER than the suspension fluid being low. And it seems like you're low on engine oil.
The oil light goes off and the the stop light goes off after it.
(I don't know if the stop light is designed to come on when the oil is low too, my guess is it can, and in this instance it could well be the reason why the stop light is on!)
Top the engine oil first!!
The problem with your rear suspension playing up could be unrelated to the reason the stop light is on when you start the engine!
But seriously, if the engine oil low light comes on top it up!! Do it ASAP, it's imperative!
(I've never heard an alarm before, but I think it's an asian specification for your particular car).

It won't be rising at all if you don't put some oil in the engine!Chetiya Dias wrote:When the stop light goes off only the car starts raise.

Re: Xantia rear suspension
Don't want to sound patronising.... u say it's fine (now), was it fine before?
have u actually checked it:
1 after warming the oil up after a good run (enough to warm the oil up)
2 after letting the oil settle for 10 mins after the run at point 1
3 when the car is level (do you park it on a hill or at it's side somehow to make the oil sensor trigger).
(still, I need someone else to confirm whether the stop light will come on when/if the oil is low)
Needless to say, if it keeps staying on like that for a few seconds after it starts you may have low oil pressure
