C5 Estate 2004 creaking noise - help

Post by 10051550 »

It's driving me mad and sounds like the drivers chair is creaking ( it's not )

I can't find anything loose on the front offside corner - but it defo coming from that direction

Loud Creak when turning wheel left/right and pulling away from stationery - after that it goes away ?!?

If I jack up the front offside it stops completely ..

Anyone had similar / any suggestions ?

exact same problem I think 100..

small movement of car forwards or back, and maybe with a slight turn of the wheel, and a loudish crack/creak..
I am suspecting a cv joint issue, have looked at and silicone sprayed the lower arm bushes briefly to no avail..

Make sure the wishbone mounting bolts are all FT.

They'll "creak" if not.
