C5 cigar lighter socket extension

Post by rabenson »

Hi,

I've just bought one of those devices to allow me to use my ipod with the car stereo via FM. It plugs into the cigar lighter socket. Problem is that the socket is deeply recessed and it will only just make a connection. Does anybody know of a device that I could fit into the socket to bring the connection up a bit? some sort of extender maybe?

I have a 12v connection at the side of the chair aswell as the cigar lighter, however I now have nother c5 which has a balnk in it's place which is annoying because I run my phone with satnav from this with the sat finder plugged into the other. Not in this car it seems can if be fitted aftermarket?

Pull the blanking plug and see if there are wires in place for a socket.

They'll be there; you might have to tease them out if they're cable tied further into the guts of your console. Citroen/Peugeot sell the accessory socket - it's common from Berlingo through C6.
