A split bottom return pipe from the Doseur will dump huge quantities of fluid because the pipe joins into the manifold below the top of the reservoir and the split is below the return manifold, so the entire return system (brakes, steering and suspension) tends to drain out of the split. If you remove the air cleaner and air hose you can see the pipes as they join the return manifold. Be careful how you treat the manifold as you don't want to split it or any of the other return pipes.

As a temporary repair, you could use ordinary clear ?polythene? plastic pipe and a 6mm joiner (local aquatic supplies or pet shop). It'll go hard with age and may then weep, but that would buy you time to source proper 6mm fuel pipe.
