If it is floating on top of the adblue you should only need to pump off the top layer. Possibly if there is not much and the tank is filled to the top of the filler neck, it might all just go there making it easy to pump out only that bit.
Yes, I'm hoping so. I drained the tank as fully as I could as wanted to see how far the red stuff went. It became a game of :
Pump drawing air - tube in a bit further - red stuff - near-clear stuff - back a bit - pump drawing air - repeat!
Time dependent, I'll draw off as little of the top as I can tonight, then top up with Adblue once more. If I can get majority of the red out each time, it should diminish to the point it's no longer a worry - I hope!!
