:rofl2:

I wish! I fitted a set of iridium plugs to the bike after lubing the doors - I could hardly get up after 15 mins kneeling! I really don't rate this ageing thing.....

I know, I’m off out to get some more fence panels positioned and I can hardly walk after the last lot I put in!

Right, I bought some silicone spray (the WD-40 stuff as halfords had sold out of their own stuff  ) but I'm still getting the clicking at each 'notch' of the doors opening, not sure where else I need to grease?

I know you've just had to pay out double for the WD stuff, but maybe you're scrimping Elis! :rofl2:

It's hammering it down here (again) so I;ll have to wait until it's stopped before I go out and test to see if it is normal to have the positioning click sound - I can't remember from memory!

To be honest It'll take me a decade to use a can so I shouldn't complain really 8-)

I know there should be position clicks but this is excessive, I remember my old 306 car did the same as the mechanism that caused the clicks would become really stiff and 'bang' between the notches not smoothly run.... It's nice to see that 10 years later and PSA haven't changed

Also I feel as if the drivers door has dropped a mm or two over the years, is there an easy way to adjust it up slightly as the door (or latch) seems to hit something just before closing.

Must be those suitcase-sized speakers you've just installed - I'll have a look...

Ok, the doors are indexed on the door side (flushness) and on the body side (for clearances), but you'll need to drive the pins out first if you need to adjust it. It sounds quite fiddly, but shout if you want the procedure.

Ah, it;s encouraging that there is a procedure at least!, yeah that would be great to look over. Its quite common for the door to drop apparently, especially as my car seems to have only ever been used by a single driver in the past.

Yup those speakers probably weight about 10x as much as the stock ones

Just as well you have a Citroen then, otherwise you might find the leaning into corners to be a bit unusual! :D

True, what catches me off guard is when I think the hydractive solenoids are going to close for a particular corner... then they don't and I feel as if the car is going to roll over
