How dark is the tint Matt and is it factory fitted or after market stuff some one else fitted ?

After market (think there's a bit of a factory privacy tint too)
Is dark enough you wonder why the car behind has only got side lights on (when in fact they're on dipped beam) - I'll try and take a picture to illustrate what it's like.

Seems there's no legal minimum light transmission value for rear and back passenger windows (unlike windscreen and front side windows)

Hopefully peel off without too much issue. Must be a "red car thing" as the 206 had very dark tints in the back when we first got it too! Peeled off ok, must be 15 years ago, think steamer was involved???

Tyre pressure warning in way home last week, pumped up (and reset display) front left at 1.95 bar. Fronts should be 2.5 - 2.7 bar. Rears should be 2.3 - 3.3 bar (wide range!) rest were all a touch under so all topped off.

After much procrastination I'm hoping to pick up a new starter from Euro Car Parts this evening. Lucas branded. I've dug out the (failed solenoid) dead one from the blue 308 SW and that'll be the core charge taken care off - making a new starter with 3 year warranty for about £45.
Euro car parts website descriptions are absolutely pathetic!

Red 308 filled up yesterday:
183.9 ppl, £78.86, 42.88 litres = 9.45 gallons
486 miles covered.

51.5 mpg.

Very quick Diagbox session at 6:30 am yesterday before work, seems to think the Audio Amplifier is unhappy. Will put some screen grabs up when I get chance. Code not particularly meaningful

Starter swapped today, replacement from Euro Car Parts is compatible, thankfully!

New unit just fractionally less corroded

Looking closely at the old unit, I was surprised quite how obviously worn it's teeth were! Tip of each a sharp edge:

In contrast to the nice radiused teeth of its replacement:

New unit it 10 teeth, old unit 13 teeth. A quick cardboard template confirming the shaft centre line must be in a different position as the teeth tips are in the same position (measured relative to the two mounting bolt positions either side).

Speed wise it seems pretty similar, but its loads quieter!
Am guessing those worn teeth may be behind the previous noise.



Under tray fighting me to get it in place. New front left arch liner - Autodoc, about £22, is ok, it couldn't be much thinner, but nice and flexible (unlike the brittle original it's replacing).
