I’ve always been told that it’s a ‘90’, so that’s what I’m sticking with until I know differently.
Easy to tell - 90 only has 1 air pipe over the engine, 110 has 2 (due to the intercooler).

Yep, cable ties on CV boots don't work - unless, it seem, they are on the outer boot of one driveshaft on a certain red AX I know...

I guess AX driveshafts are so tiny and spin so slowly they can get away with it!
I'd call that "the exception to the rule" eh Jim! Is it a nice big chunky cable tie, wide?

Actually I've realised I don't know what cable ties are defined by / what the usual widths are...

Looking here https://ebay.io/m/3MrEUv it seems:
2.5, 3.6, 4.8, 7.6, 8, 9 or 12.7mm wide.

12.7 (half inch) sounds unusually large for a cable tie.

The ones on this CV boot I'd guess must be 3.6 or 4.8 at the most. Definitely not strong enough to pull the boot securely onto the CV.

Good idea, I was trying to remember the shift pattern of BE4 (90) Vs ML5 (110) as think that also separated them

I use 8mm ties on boots and they seem to work well, need quality ones though, not the ebay Chinese variety!! :-D
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Matt ,get the metal ones, i made the mistake of using the black thick ones and they will come off after a while plus a tool for crimping then is a must
Other wise you may end up doing the whole job again and grease everywhere
