lexia versions for late model PSA vehicles

Post by harryp »

Hello all,
We have recently changed our DS3 for a C4 Picasso 2013 reg, yes it's the wifes! Never knew they had so many whistles and bells - (the car, not the wife); so much more to go wrong  . Anyway thought I would give it the once over but my Lexia (Ver 7.02) wont communicate with this vehicle.
Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what version is required to use on 2013 vehicles, or later? Also will my current interface which has 9780.Z5 printed on it be adequate?
Many thanks and regards, Harry
Regards, Harry

Harry, I know there were issues with the older Chinese clones and many needed firmware updates to run the later diagbox software for newer cars. I have just bought a kit from Easydiagnostics that use the Revision 3 German made clones and have the latest 4.3.3 firmware with Diagbox V7.65 (now 7.66 already). My interface unit is the A.1281Z. It works with my C5 X7 (as there were issues with C5s and 307s) with some clones on the older firmware.

If you can't get a definitive answer here (it is a minefield with the Lexia / Diagbox kits let's face it), send an email to Sharon at Easydiags (sales@easydiagnostics.co.uk) and I'm sure they will have the answer - they have been really helpful to me pre and post sales. They have their own store and an ebay store, URLs here for you:

Thanks Marc,
Will have to do some digging.... It worked OK on the 2010 DS3; 2013 obviously a bridge too far!

I've seen the files offered online to update the firmware, but you need to know what you're doing burning EPROMs and such.
