Davie, the following links are known working copies of Diagbox 5.29 and Diagbox 7.15 which I uploaded to my own mega.co.nz account some time ago - mainly so that there is a fast, known good copy of the software as many of the download sites that have it are somewhat "iffy" and slow.... ;)

If your interface is an old Chinese clone, Diagbox 5.29 is the latest version that will work with it:

https://mega.co.nz/#F!mMAkSKbY!XLBJ5AGUSi4WN0fmYwEfIg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If your interface is one of the better ones, Diagbox 7.15 (and later) will work with it:

https://mega.co.nz/#F!jJJ11IhI!Kr2p1iBUR4oxVw_oDec_bA" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

7.15 is about 6 months old now, the latest is approximately 7.40 but I haven't been able to update my copy as I don't have access to the forum where the downloads are (most easily) found any more, and to be honest I haven't had the time to keep up with it - for any car more than 2-3 years old keeping up to date with the latest version of Diagbox isn't necessary and provides no additional functionality as updates are largely to support newly released models.

Here are a couple of utilities you might or might not need including one to manually install the device driver and one to check the firmware version on the interface:

https://mega.co.nz/#F!DRpzjbrR!KfjItCA3biZjfgedAJhQ8g" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Before installing you will need to fully un-install your old copy of Lexia and then also delete the folders which it was installed in. (Such as C:\APP) You can't have both Lexia and Diagbox installed at once because Diagbox installs its own (slightly different) bundled version of Lexia in the same location and they clash if you don't remove the old one first. Diagbox also bundles it's own version of Peugeot planet for older Peugeot's, so make sure you un-install PP2000 first as well.

I would try 7.15 first (you can actually just install 7.02 and not install the updates for an initial test) and see if it is compatible with your interface. If you can't get it communicating with any cars you might need to go back to 5.29.

You'll need Winrar and a program such as MagicDisc to mount ISO images as drives. (or burn the ISO to a DVD if the laptop has a DVD drive) Extract the RAR's - the main installer is a multipart rar containing an ISO image, and the updates are individual exe updaters that you run one at a time in order. Mount the ISO image as a drive letter (or insert the burnt DVD) and run setup from the drive letter. There are also some instructions in the word document.

Good luck!

Simon - managed to get Diagbox 7.15 up and running :) . Not need to get the interface.
Is there any other way you can tell if the interface is an old clone before buying one?

No activation code needed. Just leave in the codes that are already filled in. If in doubt refer to the youtube clip linked in the included word document.

Ok thanks got it. I have a newer version of pp2000 I would like to install, if I install it will it overwrite the old one and leave diagbox with lexia still working?

Probably not. What version of Diagbox did you install ?

If you need a later PP2000 you're better off simply updating Diagbox to the latest version you can.

Standalone versions of Lexia and PP2000 are obsolete for years now.

Hello Mandrake and thanks for your links to Diagbox on MEGA.

I've tried to download Diagbox Ver 5.29 but there's a problem with part 1. I get a message saying 'temporary error, retrying'. I get this message each time I try. All the other files download ok.

I had Lexia 3 set up on my XP laptop, but, came to use it today and it wouldn't work. It said I needed to activate it. Not sure why, I've used it loads of times on my C5, but not used it for quite a while. Seems like the activation may have expired.

I found the original Lexia 3 activation code but it didn't work. So, I thought I'd try Diagbox instead.
Cheers, Kev

Hi Kev,

Try the file again, make sure you're using Google Chrome. Mega does that sometimes, I've once had to re-upload one of the files because there was a permanent "temporary error". :roll:

Hopefully I still have a local copy or can find a copy to upload...

Firstly, thanks to Mandrake for putting the files up onto Mega.

I had the same problem installing both versions 5&7 of Diagbox. I didn't see this in the YouTube videos but maybe this is covered in there. It seems that just as with Lexia, you may need an empty file called 'version.txt' in C:\

Not needed with later versions of Diagbox.
