Hi all!
My c5 suspension stop rising last Friday.
I checked the fuses and voltage in the pump motor and they were all ok.
So, I empty the lds reservoir and removed my pump to check it.
I found 2 issues:
The first one was the rubber connection between the motor and the hydraulic unit. Three rubber was broken and the metal piece connected to the motor axis loosed its screw... So the motor was rotating freely, without running the pump.
I fix this adding a nut to get the metal piece tight on the motor axis. And I replaced the broken rubber joint with a round piece of tire rubber. It worked perfectly!
Now, the second issue. In the same plate where the motor brushes are there is a capacitor. I think only for reduce the interference. But my pump motor capacitor are completely blown!

Maybe the motor was running freely for a long time to try to rise the suspension without success... This maybe the cause of the capacitor explosion.
Does anyone know the type and the capacitance value of this capacitor?
I need to replace it, but I can't find its specification.....
Note: the motor is running OK after removing the capacitor. That's why I believe that it is used just for noise/interference suppression...
Thanks in advance!
