See here re resetting Service indicator: http://www.andyspares.com/discussionfor ... et,service
Oh, and check this out. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 51368&rd=1 Our info is at least free!
As regards RP number, if its not stamped on one of the inner wings, it could be on the bottom on the tyre pressure sticker on the driver's door shut. If it is the RP number won't be the normal 4 figure code, it will look something like 008934FV, in this case 8934 being the RP number.

Xsara RP numbers. Bonnet up passenger side suspension strut top. Written / sprayed in white paint. Big numbers about an inch high.

OK got the number ok thanks everybody[:D], I have got a full service to do on this car next week had a look under the bonnet mostly the same as my xant (xud etc)
One thing though the air filter is accesed from underneath and appears to be in a round housing does anybody have experience of this type, part numbers etc, It does not have air con but an old servicing bill says it had a pollen filter changed (cit dealer) has it got one.
Also its a S reg estate RP number 7872 will it have discs or drums on the back
Oh sugar just realised I will have to dig out some brake fluid haven't needed that for a while.

Yep, air filter in oval housing, 3 clips hold it on from underneath, like on a ZX TD, GSF part number for Xsa TD RP7686>> is N122765C.
Rear brakes will be drums.
