MyWay on Peugeot 407 information

Hello,

So I'm looking to buy a car, initially I was looking at the C5, but now it seems that Peugeot 407 might be a better fit for my needs, and i am considering one that has the audio unit from the picture attached, that seems to be an RT6 unit, as described here.

If you know, please help me understand how this unit works as I don't have a way for testing this unit live. The car in question is a 2010 Peugeot 407 Estate with the 2.0 HDI 140ps engine and a manual 6 transmission.
1. Can the bluetooth connection be used for both audio streaming (Youtube music, Tidal etc) as phone calls or just phone calls?
2. I would assume this unit supports MP3 CDs, but please confirm.
3. Does this unit have a USB port for music to be played from a USB drive?
4. How recent are the latest maps?
5. Does this unit have any video in? HDMI in or Svideo in?

Be careful! There are 2 units that look almost identical, but are not the same. For 2010 you may have the MyWay fitted not the RT6 (eMyWay). To tell which unit it is, look at the front centre of the unit. If there is a slot for an SD card, then it is a MyWay, not an RT6.

MyWay units do not support any Bluetooth Audio, regardless of the owners manual, which is wrong. Only the RT6 unit supports Bluetooth audio.

As for your other questions, there is no HDMI or SVIDEO (this is a vehicle system not a home entertainment system).

The other questions will depend on what system you actually have fitted and the exact put vehicle specifications, as video / audio RCA jacks are dependent on trim levels and equipment.

I was under the impression that MyWay and RT6 are the same system. Thanks for clearing that out! So, as I understand, the bluetooth is only used for phone calls in this unit.

MyWay (RNEG) / WIPNAV only uses Bluetooth for Phone calls, Media streaming is not supported.
eMyWay (RT6) / WIPNAV+ uses Bluetooth for phone calls and audio streaming.

Look at the main telematics page here below and you can see the differences on the front of the units - one says Bluetooth the other shows a slot with SD card on:

Yes, so it's definitely a MyWay system as it has the SD on the front. Is the SD used for maps or can be used for audio files? One would hope that the CD also supports MP3.

As we've not determined this is the MyWay, I've moved it into the MyWay Forum.

You can play CDs or MP3 CDs, but the Sat Nav Mapping requires the SD card. There was no USB option AFAIK as the mapping was updated on the SD card.

If you have AUX input in the glovebox, don't expect great sound or to be able to control audio tracks - the AUX will only play the input from an iPod or media player - it can't control the music tracks or anything else.

So yeah.... I just bought a C5 with OEM video in, muahahaha . PS3 in Citroen C5 video coming up this weekend.
