C5 X7 signal from fuse

Post by vodnasol »

Hi all, I have added a subwoofer to my car and I need to get 12V to turn on the sub amp when the engine is running. I tried F4 and F7 fuses(with a fuse holder add-a-circuit), but neither worked(0V on the multimeter). Is there another place from where I can get 12V when the engine is running?

My VIN is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Assuming this is a C5 X7, G39 in fuse box A is the designated (factory-installed) amplifier circuit - 30A fuse so should give you 360W?

I already have ran the main power wire. I'm asking for a place to get 12V when the engine is running for the remote terminal of the amp, which turns on the amp.

Are you using the original or aftermarket radio?

The original RD4 radio.
