It was exploding a bit like an egg would.
But I have learned how to do poached eggses in the microwave.
Not always successfully though.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I only ever boil eggs in the old-fashioned and traditional way Steve... When my kitchen was being rebuilt I invested in a little egg poacher/boiler.. It was, like so much, a big disappointment and much more of a faff than putting an egg in a little saucepan and boiling it...
The air-fryer I bought whilst my kitchen was out of action has been just the opposite. A really good investment that sees lots of use...
Rubbish for boiling eggs though!

Same here Jim, with the eggpoacher and the air fryer.
Apparently boiled eggs can be made in an air fryer.
I couldn't be doing with the mess when it goes wrong though.

I am happy to report Falcon can still hover and under previous owners spent a bit of time in Arkhangelsk, the Bahamas and South America. Used to be called "Silverco" but I decided to name it after my amp...

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Hovercraft were a common part of my boyhood holidays. We used to holiday in Broadstairs and I always managed to talk Dad into taking me on a coast ride on the SRN6's which were operated out of Ramsgate on pleasure cruises:
Once I learned to drive we made a few cross channel daytrips using the much bigger car ferry version:
I don't remember using the Isle of Wight service as we used to use the Hydrofoil to get over there!

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Apparently they did cut 'n' shut jobs on the SRN-4 like the red one in that photo and extended them quite a bit for the later Folkestone - Calais services. IIRC, the cross Channel hovercraft service holds the unofficial record for the fastest crossing of any craft across the Channel. Unofficial.... because it broke the speed limit on the Channel so put them in a bit of an awkward position

The boatyard where my dad worked made some, just smaller ones but some were used cross channel. I think most went to Russia, as did the 'greenhouse' boats for tours on the Volga. No pictures unfortunately.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
It's that time of year again. Doesn't 12 months come around quickly
This year's crop of cygnets from Bryant and May is noticably down on previous years - though that's no bad thing as they've been quite a handful in previous years. Bryant and May are at least 11 years old that I know of as that's how long I've known them, and you can easily add at least a year or two on top of that.
The cygnets are around (an assumed) 7-10 days old in this photo and it was taken last Friday.
