C5 MK1 Tyre sizes

Post by Northern_Mike »

Does anyone have a list of what sizes were specced on the various C5 models?

I want to know what I can fit..

215/55/16 was the largest to mk1/2 C5's IIRC as it was the exclusive size.

Cheers KP, I was more wondering what the smallest size was, then I can swap the alloys with good tyres (205/60/15) on them from the C5 to the Berlingo, it means putting 185/65/15s on the C5 on the Berlingo steels though. I know it'll be a bit rubbish on those tyres, but I've driven worse. I just wondered if they were listed in the book for the base models with no alloys.

Don't use anything less than 65s if you can help it, they will adversely affect the ride.

Thanks all.

I'm not overly concerned about ride quality. I can't really sell the car due to its issues nor am I going to spend on it. I'm just going to use it as a cheap way of getting to work until the MOT and Tax run out, then I'll break it.

The Berlingo needs a new set of front tyres. The C5 alloys have good tyres on them, they'll fit and the offset is only 1mm different so they'll be ok.

It's a 15 x 6 inch Ronal alloy wheel made in Germany.
I'm in Australia and bought the car second-hand in 2009.
The importer says that it's never had or seen a wheel like that and wasn't an original fitment.
I don't find any photos of it on the internet either.
So, sorry for being of no use.
