Post by Stinkwheel »

OK, who remembers i was doing the clutch change on the black Pallas a few months back.
Managed to find another one recently, bronze this time, guess what, In the middle of doing the clutch again.
Getting quite good at it now, so everyone form an orderly que and my GS/A clutch fitting service is available at a very reasonable prices [:)]

I find that the GSA engine is easier to get out than a Dyane one, once you have taken the front off the car. Just stick beer crate (save half of the bottles) under it, take mounting bolts and bellhousing nuts off, wheel car back. Finish beer after you put it back. [:D][:D]

I agree with you mike, apart from one thing, the dyane engine is so much easier to just lift out, the GSA one is a bit heavier!!

Indeed, but with my back, I do not lift engines; I either rope in some manpower or use my Haltrac hoist on the garage roof frame [:)]
Hope I never have to take the DS lump out! [:(]
