The Haynes BX manual is actually quite good - definitely worth more than the toilet paper its printed on - I'd sugget you get one, it covers this aspect quite well.

Get a 36 mm socket and , having released the accumulator pressure, remove the nut at the top of the strut, pull off the 2 pipes lower down and then the 16 mm pinch bolt at the bottom. Strut comes out.
Have you tried the internal lubrication technique yet? this can often make the difference to a sticky strut. If there is no fluid escaping from the two flexibles, then this will almost certainly work.

Tom is quite right here, and I don't think that theres any need for the Haynes manual.
If you want it Haynes style it goes some thing like.
Jack up car.
Remove wheel.
Put suspension lever in low position.
Undo 12mm bleed nut on pressure reg 1/2 a turn to release system pressure.
The strut goes into the hub assembly, and is secured by a nut and bolt (16mm and 14mm??) undo and remove.
Remove rubber return pipes where they join the metal pipes on inner wing, behind the strut.
Under the bonnet, remove 36mm strut nut from top strut mount.
Use lever to pull down bottom arm, remove strut!
"Reassembly is a reverse of the removal procedure" !!!
ha! Mr Haynes eat your heart out!
