Well Jon, it's a shame about the paint, but it looks like there is a cracking car there below the surface just waiting to leap out! The Blingo will not be the last HDI you p**s all over!
Look forward to hearing about the fun you have bringing her up to spec ;-)

Sounds promising, re the paint at least its not white, I look forward to hearing about progress.

Now I'm even more annoyed that:
a) I got rid of my 88 DTR turbo after I did the head gasket - if I was in the same position now I would have put a new clutch in it and kept it going (mind you it would be showing 190k now!)
b) I couldn't find another decent BX TD when I wanted one [:(]
There was a really good looking one on e-bay when I was looking for a second car that I would have gone after had it not been 500 miles away....
Perhaps I should cast furtive glances towards the classifieds.....
