Rover 218 D/TD

Are the engines in these excatly the same as in the PSA group?What PSA cars were they fitted to?Any common probs to look out for?My sister has been offer`d one.Dont know any more details yet.Thanks[:)]

Its the XUD 1.8 (1769cc) unit as fitted to 405 pug, BX, 309 pug etc a very close relative of your own xantia

I think some of the 218 non-turbos were the 1905cc version. Rover chose to badge them all '218' regardless of whether they were 1769 or 1905cc.

I thought i read somewhere that some were 1905cc.Its the TD version,134k on it in good condition.Thats all i know for now.So it is a XUD then.So all the same things to lookout for as a Citroen/Pug then.Thanks to all.
